It is with great pleasure that we can now announce that CarShare is coming to Elmira! With the help of many volunteers and local businesses we have received sufficient interest to launch two CarShare vehicles in Elmira as of March 1. Now is the time for everyone to step up to the plate and activate your driving membership. Join now to help launch this great community resource and to put Elmira on the international map of innovative communities that offer carsharing!
There are two ways for you to activate your membership:
#1 If you are an existing associate member or have applied in the past, please contact the office at 519-578-1895 or by email at info@communitycarshare.ca with your billing information and current G class drivers license.
#2 If you have not applied before (or can’t remember if you have) please apply now through the website. We will be in touch soon to schedule a time for your orientation in Elmira.
The two vehicles that will be placed in Elmira are a Toyota Prius C Hybrid and a Toyota Matrix hatchback. The Toyota Prius will be placed at the office of our first corporate member Enviro-Stewards Inc. at the corner of Union and Wyatt. The Toyota Matrix will be in the centre of Elmira at the Woolwich Memorial Centre. Please view the fleet map for vehicle locations and where additional vehicles beyond the first two will be placed.
