Become a Parking Provider
There are many different organizations which provide in-kind parking locations to Community CarShare — among them are churches, businesses, housing co-ops, developers, and municipal governments. By becoming a Parking Location Provider for Community CarShare, your business or organization will be helping to build your community’s sustainable transportation network, which already includes transit, and cycling and walking trails. In places where carsharing is also an option, people are able to choose greener ways of getting around more often. Providing a parking location for Community CarShare vehicles is a simple way to highlight your commitment to a greener community.
The CarShare Parking Network
Community CarShare seeks out parking locations across the cities it serves to build a network of parking locations that can be easily activated with a CarShare vehicle upon member demand. Currently Community CarShare has more than 80 reserved parking locations across Waterloo Region and Hamilton, and new locations are added regularly. By becoming a Parking Location Provider, your business will help expand your community’s sustainable transportation network.
Over the past 14 years, the co-op has developed strong relationships with many of the region’s leading institutions. Community CarShare’s Parking Location Providers include municipal governments, universities, businesses, and community and non-profit organizations. Join the growing list of businesses and organizations that support green transportation options in their community.

Once you become a parking provider, Community CarShare will put up a reserved parking sign and brochure box. By becoming a parking provider, you are helping to promote Community CarShare in your neighbourhood, and will help membership growth in the area. Once there is enough member demand for a vehicle in the area, the co-op will work on placing a vehicle at your location.
